- Originally the site was the Adelaide Electric Supply Company facility supplying power, office and other meter testing and evaluation facilities, built in the 1920's & 1930's.

- This also now provides for buildings which are of substantial strength and size which ironically aids the thermal efficiencies saving energy costs versus today's modern construction styles which tend not have thermal efficiencies in mind.
- Eventually became ETSA (Electricity Trust of South Australia in 1946 a Government Utility supplying Power to South Australia), and became a major facility to ETSA having workshops, meter testing and laboratory facilities, office and central data computing facilities until 1992.

and redeveloped into a business center.
